The Homework Management Service enables learners to complete homework assignments, both short- and long-term, outside of the home under teacher supervision. Learners bring their own assignments and receive teacher assistance in completing them. Assignments can include daily homework, book reports, class projects and term papers.
Long-term assignments, which frequently challenge the learning disabled or struggling learners, are partitioned into manageable smaller tasks as the learner is guided through completion.
The Service is conducted in a group setting with a teacher to learner ratio not to exceed one to eight. The teaching of study and organizational skills, so that learners can ultimately work independently, is an integral
part of every teacher-learner interaction in The AIMRoom. The group setting also provides an environment to facilitate social skills during interactions between learners.
Learners come to the Homework Management Service once or twice a week. This Service is available everyday after school and on weekends. Each visit can last up to two hours.
